The opportunity to learn to dance brings with it many rewards

Dance Extreme Inc. offers exciting high
quality programs for children and adults, beginners and those more
experienced, in Jazz, Tap, Modern, Highland, Lyrical/Musical Theatre,
Cardio Funk, Creative Movement and Stretch/Floor Barre. Also, Dance
Extreme is one of the only London studios which offers the Italian
method of Cecchetti ballet.

Its energetic artistic director, Rebecca Brettingham, intent upon
sharing her love of dance with the public, offers classes in a vibrant,
enthusiastic environment, featuring high quality, award-winning
instruction and choreography. Dance Extreme's competitive Dance Troupes
were extremely successful in their competitions this year.

A teacher since 1990, Rebecca has taught dance through out Ontario. She
is fully certified, and continues to take courses to keep updated on
new techniques and teaching styles.

Faculty is equally qualified and enthusiastic. "Our teachers genuinely
love to teach dance," maintains Brettingham. Each faculty member is a
certified dance instructor who continually updates his or her
curriculum by participating in internationally recognized professional
development master classes, and workshops.

Maintaining a family environment is a key to the success of Dance
Extreme. Monthly newsletters, bulletin board postings, dancers'
progress reports, parents' video week, and the spectacular year end
performance promote parental involvement and interest.

Brettingham is also intent on giving back to her community. Her dancers
perform in local events, festivals, parades, and at retirement and
nursing homes. In addition, the Dance Extreme Parent Association
sponsors a child who would not be afforded a dance opportunity
otherwise.

Superb facilities at Dance Extreme include hardwood sprung floors which
help prevent injury, top quality stereo and video equipment, and full
length mirrors and ballet barres in every studio - all to enhance and
maximize studio performance.

Learning the joy of dance - no matter what kind - is known to enhance
self-confidence and self esteem. It also promotes the joy of
self-expression. "In addition," says Brettingham, "the skills learned
in dance will be used throughout one's life. Self-motivation,
leadership, team work and communication and time management are all
relevant and important in everyone's life, no matter what age."

Whether you choose to dance strictly for enjoyment, or, if your dreams
centre around performance opportunities, consider upcoming programs
offered in the stimulating and inspiring environment of Dance Extreme.
