~ EN POINTE ~

Professional training for today’s dancer!

EN POINTE, a division of Dance Extreme Inc. is now offering professional training for today’s dancer. If you are between 9 and 17 years of age you are welcome to register.

What makes En Pointe different from other professional training institutions?

Our holistic approach to dance sets us aside from other dance intensive programs.  We have created a complete mind and body program to maximize the training for the dancers of today.  Our main focus is ballet but with daily instruction in yoga and Pilates, dancers with improve their focus and concentration and learn to strengthen their body from the inside out.

Students will be immersed in Anatomy, Dance Composition, Dance Analysis, and Dance History so that they will gain a deeper understanding from where dance and movement stem.  En Pointe has also taken into consideration the importance of good nutrition.  Students will receive workshops conducted by a Registered Dietician.

In addition to our regular daily workshops and master classes students will also have the opportunity to have a truly great dance experience as we offer repertoire and variations that will be performed for family and friends at our end of program performance.

En Pointe Director~ Carina Coldevin A.I.S.T.D., CYT.

After spending a lifetime in dance I truly believe in a more holistic approach to dance training.  Dailytraining in Ballet and Yoga/Pilates will give you strength in your body and mind to compete in the present dance world.  It was not until late in life that I discovered Yoga and Pilates and the power of it.  Bringing it together with strong ballet training, it will give the dancer full potential.  Adding a good diet completes thedancer. Cecchetti and Vaganova are the methods used.

Carina Coldevin is a graduate of The Royal Swedish Ballet School and The National Ballet School. She spent years dancing and touring Europe.  She has taught for the last 14 years in Canada.
