History
Dance Extreme was founded by owner and artistic director Rebecca Brettingham in July 1998. Before opening her own studio, Rebecca taught for six years in the Toronto area, London, Dorchester, and St. Thomas.
The school has been successful from the beginning, and today Rebecca employs over 25 instructors as well as teaching classes herself. Currently, over 800 students have enrolled and the school has five large, fully equipped studios.
Dance Extreme has been very fortunate in having an active parents group that conducts fundraising events throughout the year. The funds raised benefit all students at the studio and assists children in the community who would not be able to dance otherwise.
Dance Extreme is London's most popular dance studio. The updated facilities, high tech equipment and superb faculty all contribute to its success. Dance Extreme currently has over 11,000 square feet of space with every square foot built with the dancers and parents in mind. The state-of-the-art sound equipment allows teachers to be better prepared for classes. The video system is an excellent teaching tool for teachers to record and play back class to students real time. Parents love the ability to view their children's class from the comfort of the lobby from start to finish without disrupting. Whether students are at the studio for a short amount of time or many hours they enjoy the comfort of 3 large change rooms for the girls and 1 for the boys, a large kitchen with a fridge and microwave for their use and a study room with computers and internet access. Parents have the flexibility of leaving their dancers before or after class and siblings in our Rascal Room. The Rascal Room is a supervised playroom for the convenience of parents.
